Direct Mail
Time Logistics provides full planning services for our Direct Mail shippers.
We begin by reviewing the event details including production and print schedules and then align with in-home dates to develop load plans that meet the needs of all parties involved. We optimize costs by ensuring the lowest cost mode or combination of modes are used, while still ensuring all ship and due date requirements are met.
Time Logistics handles all elements of procuring capacity and takes on responsibility for the service provided.
Once load plans are built, we then engage our TL, Parcel, Expedite and LTL partners to source the right equipment at the right cost, time and place.
When it comes to execution, this is where Time Logistics really delivers!
In advance of the first shipment and load, we communicate with printers, carriers and our customers to finalize the plan. Once approved, execution processes begin which include paperwork and label preparation, pickup appointment scheduling, carrier dispatch and continual management of production cycles.
Using our proprietary ELITE TMS platform, we manage all freight in real-time, enabling full visibility from pre-pickup through final delivery.
As things change throughout the duration of the event, Time Logistics reacts. With the goal of 100% delivery compliance to in home dates, we do our part!
- Shipments and loads in transit are continually monitored.
- Mode and carrier changes are made on the fly as needed.
- Late freight in transit gets rescued.
- Delivery scheduling and management with the USPS facilities using the FAST system resumes.
- E-Induction and 8125 documentation processes are monitored to ensure seamless delivery.
- Carrier partners are continually managed to ensure delivery appointments are met.
